The Coconut Poem Analysis

The coconut poem is written by Jose Garcia Villa. He was a famous Filipino Writer. He is known for introducing the "reversed consonance rime scheme"

When I was reading the poem I was curious about what the poem wanted to convey and then I realized that the author uses coconut fruit to describe the woman's breast. The intention of the speaker to suck-coconut or women only tell that he is determined or willing to do such things. He compared coconut fruit to a woman's breast or nipples.

The poem consists of only 1 stanza. Jose Garcia Villa uses the pre-verse as he wrote a coconut poem. The poem also uses refrain and it uses figurative language such as metaphor and simile.
